ZTreeWin Description

A 32-bit XTreeGold-like file manager for Win95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP & Vista

The program is designed to look and function in a manner similar to the XTreeGold program, offering a wide range of disk & file management features in a familiar form. This release includes dozens of fixes and enhancements since v1.61, including incremental renaming, timestamp adjusting, duplicate file finding. Free upgrade for existing licensed users.

ZTreeWin is a text-mode file/directory manager for all versions of Windows 95 and later (95, 98, ME, NT, 2000, XP & Vista. Sorry, it does not run under DOS). It has been developed as the successor to the legendary DOS file-manager XTreeGold (tm), which its owners have abandoned in today's GUI-centric computing world.

Anyone who has used that remarkable program would be aware of its superior capabilities as a text-mode, tree-structured file-manager - but would also likely be aware that its limited memory support, and lack of long filename support are today a major issue.
ZTreeWin is a 32-bit Windows program that has been developed to provide all the powerful functionality of the past (and much more!), while avoiding the limitations of the old DOS-based program. A few advantages of ZTreeWin:

* Change- View - HEX - Edit - Enter/Esc now remains in edit mode without saving
* Fixed - F7 Autoview - Leaving Autoview in an unsplit normal FW did not redraw path line
* Fixed - F8 Split - Default target directory not always set to current directory of opposite panel
* Fixed - F9 - #ZTSet - Not substituting batch parameters
* Fixed - F9 - Alt-E - PgDn/PgUp - Not paging script by the correct amount of lines
* Fixed - Log - F4 Map network drive - Not opening dialog under Windows x64
* Fixed - Log - Remote drives not showing UNC in tree display under Windows x64
* Fixed - Move - Global FW - Target directory on different drive not resorted
* Fixed - Tag/Untag (Archive DW) - Alt-K tagged files display not updated in tree
* Fixed - View (.zip) - Append '.' to archive filename with no extension to avoid WinZip bug
* Fixed - View - UNICODE - Offset command not working correctly
