novaPDF Std Description

novaPDF Std allows you to easily create PDF files from any printable document.

Using novaPDF Std you can easily create high quality searchable PDF files in an affordable and reliable way from any Windows application. It installs as a printer driver and helps you generate the PDF files by simply selecting the "print" command from any application (you can convert your Word documents, Excel sheets, PowerPoint presentations, AutoCad drawings, company?s reports, contracts, workflows, agreements, marketing plans, forms, products list, price list, charts, emails or web pages). The resulted PDF files can be viewed on any computer with a PDF viewer (reader) installed.

novaPDF Std is compatible with Windows 2000/XP/2003 Server and requires approximately 4MB of free disk space for the installation. It doesn't require Adobe Acrobat or GhostScript to be installed to generate the pdf file.

This PDF creator can generate PDF files with embedded fonts. This means that your PDF files can be read and printed on any system without distributing your font separately, while maintaining the original intended design.

novaPDF Std allows you to define different profiles, each with its own settings for page size, resolution, fonts, compression, document info and save settings. This is very useful if there are different users using the same computer (and each has different printing preferences).

This PDF printer driver has a lot of features that allows you to: modify the paper size (or create new custom page sizes for large format printing), modify the resolution (from 72 to 2400 dpi), change page orientation (portrait, landscape), fonts embedding (support for Open Type and True Type), compress text and images (zip and Jpeg compression allow the generation of smaller output files) and lots more. The user interface supports localization, thus using novaPDF Std in your own language (currently over 17 languages supported).

* Universality. Converts any type of printable documents (DOC, XLS, PPT, EML, HTML, TXT, ...) into searchable PDF files.
* Security. PDF files can be password protected to control whether the PDF can be viewed, printed, modified, copied or annotated. 40-bit and 128-bit encryption levels are supported.
* PDF bookmarks. Detects headings in the original document and adds corresponding bookmarks in the generated PDF file.
* Shared network PDF printer. nova PDF Server can be installed on one computer in a network environment, and used by any computer in that network (supports also Terminal Servers and Remote Desktop Connections).
* Send PDF via email. Can be configured to send the generated PDF automatically via email.
* PDF Watermark. Using this PDF creator you can stamp a PDF with custom text or an image and apply transparency, rotation, opacity, color variation or other effects.
* Standalone. Does not require GhostScript or other 3rd party software to create PDF files so you can make PDF files right after you have novaPDF installed.



* PDF links support. Any visible text that starts with "http://", "www", "mailto:", "ftp://" or "file://" in your original document can be converted to clickable active PDF links if you choose so.
* Document information. Possibility to set the title, subject, author, keywords for the PDF.
* Support for TrueType and OpenType fonts. To ensure portability you can embed fonts in the PDF file.
* Private profiles. Define profiles for future use, each with its own settings for page size, resolution, fonts, compression, document info and save settings.
* Public profiles. These profiles are created on the PDF server computer and are automatically propagated to all client computers.
* Multi-language support. The user interface is translated in more than 20 languages.
* Reduce PDF size. This PDF creator supports text and image compression, conversion and image downsampling.
