Active Directory User Management Description

As the organization grows, more candidates are employed to fulfill clients' requirements. Increase in the staff count also increases workload for AD Administrator and help desk staff. Creating and managing users' accounts, configuring users' attributes, doing password resets, enabling/disabling thousands of user accounts, and moving users from one Organizational Unit to another are some of the daily activities of AD Administrator and help desk staff.

The AD Administrator or help desk technician with good knowledge about Windows Active Directory can only impeccably perform these tasks. However, time consumption remains the same because the administrator has to perform these tasks on per user basis. Active Directory User Manager module of this user manager helps the AD Administrator to perform Active Directory user management for a single Active Directory user and multiple Active Directory users.

Bulk User Management

LADMR allows AD Administrators to execute several operations on multiple users, including the following:

* Reset passwords of many users simultaneousely
* Move multiple users to an OU.
* Delete multiple active directory users
* Change Home Directory of multiple users
* Manage group membership attributes of multiple users like Add to Group, Remove from Group or Set primary group.

* Enable / Disable thousands of active directory users in single click.
* Change work station permissions for multiple users simultaneously.
* View Group Membership of multiple users
* Copy multiple users to another server
* Send message to multiple users
* Query Active Directory for multiple users simultaneously

Single User Management

Active Directory user management enables the system administrator or help desk technician to modify various attributes of the user and execute various tasks like reset password, rename user, move user to another container, etc.

Modifying User Properties

* Specify user's display name
* Specify user's account password
* Specify password limitations like user cannot change the password, user must change the password at next logon, password never expires, etc
* Specify computers where user can logon
* Specify logon hours for user account

Modify General Attributes

* Modify personal attributes like First Name, Last Name, Picture, etc.
* Modify contact attributes like email ID
* Modify address attributes like street number, city, state, zip, country, etc.
* Modify organizational attributes like title, department, office, division, employee ID, etc.

Managing User Account Functions

* Reset user's account password remotely for any user in the domain
* Disable any user account remotely
* Unlock the locked out user account without manually visiting the user's computer

Working with Exchange Functions

* Create an Exchange mailbox account for the selected user
* Modify mailbox properties
* Delete user's mailbox from Exchange Server
* Move mailbox from one Information Store to another
