Advanced Serial Port Terminal is a multi-purpose application that provides a simple communication interface for connecting to any serial port device (modem, fax, mouse, printer, GPS, etc.).

Being a session-based solution, Advanced Serial Port Terminal lets you create sets of options and save them for further use with specific sessions and hosts.

Unlike many other terminal utilities, Advanced Serial Port Terminal also allows you to receive and view data in hexadecimal format, to switch between dump and terminal view modes, etc., which could be very useful for debugging and testing serial port connections.

With Advanced Serial Port Terminal you can:

Send data in various formats
Advanced Serial Port Terminal supports sending and receiving of data in various formats: ASCII/ANSI text, binary, octal, and hexadecimal. For your convenience, it can save incoming data into a file, in case you need to analyze it later.

Work with any number of real or virtual serial ports simultaneously
Serial Port Terminal lets you open as many real or virtual ports as needed and change any port's settings on the fly, without necessity of closing and then reopening it.

Moreover, each session's parameters can be easily saved and loaded later, upon launching of Advanced Serial Port Terminal, so that you don't have to tune-up the utility's settings repeatedly.

Advanced Serial Port Terminal lets you switch between terminal view and data view modes, so you can better adapt to communicating with the serial port device. Besides, Advanced Serial Port Terminal has a full set of predefined keyboard shortcuts, which can greatly facilitate its use.
