Picking a good stock can make things go much easier with less risk obviously. ANNI's Features

A lot of time and consideration went into deciding what features ANNI would contain. They needed to be simple enough to use, yet powerful enough to be effective. Help with investing should be more than just graphing and tracking. Investors need a program that provides analysis in any depth they desire...from the basic technical analysis strategies to the advanced artificial intelligence technologies. ANNI provides tools to help locate and decide on investments to get you started. You can immediately begin to analyze them quickly via the "Quick Analysis" tool or more in depth using ANNI's advanced neural network technologies. Once you've moved forward with an investment ANNI provides monitoring, alerts, tracking, full Portfolio Management capabilities, etc. to keep you on top of an ever changing market (the basics with many added features). In addition to continued help from ANNI's Prediction System, Trade System...even a Real Time Neural Net Predictor for those very active day traders, these features can also help you decide on the ideal exit point for optimal profits with minimal risks. Various reports can be ran on closed and open investments at any time to assist in continued improvements in your investment strategies.

There are two different types of Trade Systems available in ANNI depending on license level and purpose. The first is the Moving Average (MA) Crossover System which is available to both Standard and Professional users. This system optimizes the type and length of two moving averages and a crossover allowance (prevents false signals, improves stability and performance) and applies them to a moving average crossover system. This system works well for stocks that are not volatile or chaotic (trending stocks). It's limitations are mostly in the fact that this system utilizes lagged indicators (i.e. the moving average indicators) thus the system cannot react quickly to a rapidly changing stock. For blue chip stocks and slow moving stocks this is perfectly fine if you keep up with current news, etc. that could effect the stocks price quickly and use stop losses or alerts just in case you can't be around to react.

System two is a Genetically Trained Advanced Neural Net System that actually uses neural nets to generate trade signals rather then technical indicators of some sort like standard systems utilize. This trade system is only available to Professional users though (so if you are a serious investor you will want to make sure you register the Professional version). Using neural nets to generate trade signals can have serious consequences if not done correctly that many other similar programs fail to recognize. This difference is crucial to producing a successful system vs. one that only appears successful. Neural Nets that are trained via normal means require a target value of some sort in order to know what it is that it needs to learn. This is the fatal flaw with applying neural networks to a trade system...it means that the programmer (and even sometimes the user) must decide on what the "ideal" target value is that the neural nets are suppose to learn (something that generally is impossible to consistently achieve across the board). Anyone who has attempted to develop a trade system or even a custom indicator quickly finds out that you simply can't truly determine an "ideal" target value without causing a bias in some direction or another. This bias eventually leads to poor performance either all the time or under certain circumstances.

An ideal trade system would be one that simply tells the neural nets that you want to create a robust, profitable, stable and consistent trade system without it being biased towards some preconception (i.e. an impossible or bad target value). This is what ANNI's Genetically Trained Neural Nets do! These neural nets are actually trained via genetic algorithms rather then normal back propagation (or derivative of) methods. This means the genetic algorithms themselves modify the weights of the neural nets. And what does this mean exactly to an investor? It means that the neural nets no longer train towards a target value...but instead train towards a target goal. This small difference is actually huge in what it means to the overall performance of the system including how accurate it is in the real world. System two will train neural nets to produce custom trade systems that are optimized for a particular stock to produce the best profits possible within the limitations of a robust, stable and consistent trade system while also taking into account the "Optimize Towards" variable that is set by the user (makes the trade system produce systems that are more applicable to the type of trader you are).

There is also one other serious advantage to training neural nets using genetic algorithms which goes way beyond the standards of what is normal. Because the genetic algorithms modify the weights a new, proprietary neural net structure was developed that could never have been trained using any normal training methods. Without going into details (since this is a proprietary system) this new structure basically causes the system to become more robust throughout a greater range of learned patterns such that it can perform well in a multitude of market conditions without any limitations a standard system would suffer. This basically means you will have an extremely advanced trade system that learns the best, most stable and consistent strategy possible to help you take advantage of optimal entry and exit points (the best signal is not always the most profitable signal - ANNI's trade system takes into account various factors that make up a 'good' trade system with profit being only one of the variables...this method assures the system developed has the highest chance of success in the real world and not just under back testing).

ANNI also incorporates a powerful Prediction System that is optimized via Genetic Algorithms. The Prediction System itself has several advanced strategies as well that help optimize it's performance throughout a wide range of market conditions which provide a distinct advantage over other Programs that utilize only one neural net or do not optimize the neural net's inputs via genetic algorithms at all. ANNI uses a whole population of nets whose inputs (multiple days of technical indicators and historical values) and structures (hidden neurons, training parameters, etc.) are all genetically optimized for maximum performance. This means each net's inputs and structures are slightly different than the others even though they all perform exceptionally well. ANNI then takes the entire population and ranks them based on a special technique developed by Neural Science and using the outputs from all of the best nets, merges them together using a weighted averaging based on their ranking. This is an incredibly robust approach to hybrid systems and has proven to be considerably better then single nets or multiple nets that are not optimized or combined. The outputs from the system are available to you in various forms or simply displayed on a graph for quick evaluation.

Portfolio Management

ANNI provides full Portfolio Management functionality with many advanced features other programs leave out. It provides the ability to customize the view anyway you like and save that view under it's own name allowing you to quickly and easily switch between those views when needed. By right clicking on any investment you will be presented with many integrated features that help speed up your research and analysis.
All standard Portfolio Management features are present in both Standard and Professional versions. This includes Alerts, Monitoring, Tracking and Reporting of all investments and recorded transactions. Portfolio Reports show allocation, trades, transactions and performance all of which can be exported into a csv, text or html formatted file for further analysis.
