CopySafe PDF Expiry
When a CopySafe PDF document has an expiry date set, before the PDF Reader opens the document it will verify the real time and date. At the time of conversion the author as the option or using local time or server time. When validation is performed by the time server it will foil any attempt to evade expiration by turning back the computer's clock.

Preparing PDF documents
The CopySafe PDF Protector now includes the Universal Document Converter (UDC) for the conversion of most file types to PDF. Installed as a printer-driver, to convert from Word or another editor, simply send to PRINT and select UDC as your printer. There are many PDF converters and even Adobe lost the plot with version 9. Using UDC will maintain that your PDF documents conform to proper PDF format and thus maintain quality throughout the encryption process. To avoid loss of quality and detail we strongly recommend using UDC to create your original PDF.
