CtrlPass Description

The right way to manage your credentials

CtrlPass is a password management software that organizes your credentials and notes into individual profiles and helps you store and access them securely and easily on a personal computer. It also supports secure password generation and master password recovery.

CtrlPass provides a Graphic User Interface (GUI) that:

* lets you create, edit, and view a profile straightforward,
* protects your privacy by hiding data such as password and notes whenever the GUI is opened and automatically closes it after a period of inactivity,
* allows you to import/export profiles in a plain text file.

CtrlPass supports a Profile Shortcut for quick credential access. The profile shortcut is opened anytime when you press Ctrl+1 (holding down the Ctrl button then numeric one button). It helps you:

* launch a website quickly,
* choose the right profile when on a web page that needs login/password,
* fill in login and password automatically,
* create or update a profile quickly.

The password generator helps you generate a highly secure yet easy to be remembered password by including a word of your choice. CtrlPass applies following elements, rules, and patterns to generate a password:

* Elements - lowercase characters, digits, and special symbols.
* Rules - password length, number of uppercase characters, number of digits, and number of special symbols.
* Patterns - a randomly generated word or a pre-defined word and position of the word in a generated password: at beginning, in middle, or at ending.

For security, CtrlPass supports:

* strong data encryption
* single master password protected access
* master password auto-lock
* master password recovery so you don’t have to worry about losing access to your credentials!

CtrlPass is not a plug-in to any Internet browsers. It works for any Internet browsers as well as any windows applications.
