Curating Pro Description

System for management of activity of the regional representatives of the pharmaceutical companies

Curating Pro is a laptop- and palm-based database management software for medical materials distribution and marketing networks that is aimed at more effective management of local activities, increasing scope of sales and assessment of effectiveness of products and materials. The software system creates and processes lists of distributed products and materials, lists of medical organisations involved in distribution, doctors, pharmacies, as well as estimates of capacities of products and materials. Each entry of local representative to the database is a feedback on visits to clients, it is sent to the central office through palm-mobile telephone or modem and is used as a yardstick for evaluation of local representative efficiency, demand and deficiencies of particular products and materials.

SYSTEM POSSIBILITIES

Efficient electronic management system allows marketing/distribution company:

* to monitor, steer and optimize activity of local representatives;
* to monitor distribution,demand and efficiency of particular products and materials;
* to support a cost-effective, reliable and updated database at the local level.

Therefore, our company has developed such a system called Curating Pro.

This system is proposed for administrator and local levels both for existing office PC-based systems and for more flexible palm computer- mobile telephone electronic data exchange schemes.

Both systems have a list of distributed products and materials, list of medical organisations involved in distribution, doctors, pharmacies, as well as estimates of capacities of products and materials. Each entry of local representative to the database is a feedback upon his/her visit to the client (doctor or pharmacy), list of materials left for trial distribution and data on their capacities. Current information to the central office is sent through palm-mobile telephone or modem and is used as a yardstick for evaluation of local representative efficiency, demand and deficiencies of particular products and materials.

The system proposed is a tailor-made solution for the operational flowchart that is being currently implemented by western companies in the medical markets, which covers the following functions of the system manager and representatives:

* Management and control of medical representatives work
* Analysis of statistics about potential of doctors, pharmacies, and products
* Analysis and forecasting of sales by product in the pharmacies
* Planning of the required actions
* Control over promotional material supplies
* Work with the global database

Representative functions

* Preparation and planning of the medical representative visits Report on each individual meeting
