Desktop Buddy is a 3D character that acts as a friendly companion while you're at your computer

Your Buddy will remind you of those important tasks you need to do. You can also ask your Buddy to read to you while you work. Your Buddy can read any plain text file including the wide range of eBooks that are now widely available on the Internet.

Subscribe to your favourite RSS and Atom feeds and your Buddy will keep you informed of the latest news items.


Your Buddy will read any plain text, either pasted from the clipboard or contained within a plain text file.


Desktop Buddy will display most HTML pages including web pages, enabling the text to be read by the Buddy character.


The Buddy's speech is generated by synthesized voices from any compatible SAPI4 and SAPI5 speech engines that you already have installed on your computer.


The full, licensed version supplied with two of the highest quality synthesized voices available (one male, one female).
