Desktop Calendar is a successor of the popular freeware tool - Desktop Reminder

Desktop Calendar is a successor of the popular freeware tool - Desktop Reminder, one of the easiest task planners for Windows. The Key to success of Desktop Reminder was its simplicity. Desktop Calendar is based upon the same principle, it is easy to use even for a newbie, but additionally it contains some next generation features which were suggested by the advanced users of Desktop Reminder or which are results of my own observations.

Why is Desktop Calendar different from any other task planner for Windows?

There are two concepts which differ Desktop Calendar from a normal task planner:

1. Desktop Calendar can remind you even several months earlier about your task. In such a way you are able to quit every long-term contract (i.e. contract of a cellular phone) right on time.
2. There is no need to input neither task duration nor the time of day for a task - who cares, at what time to congratulate grandma on her birthday? How long does the congratulation last? Abdication of the time definition for a task makes Desktop Calendar more simple.

However defining the time of day is optionally possible for each task. Desktop Calendar can remind you even before your today's task should occur (in the range of one minute to several hours). In such a way you neither miss your favorite TV-program nor your bid too late on eBay.

What is the reason for Desktop Calendar? Does Desktop Reminder not satisfy?

Many users praise Desktop Reminder for its friendly and intuitive user interface. Maybe because of its simple handling, or not overloaded windows. Functionality of Desktop Reminder is enough for 80% of users.
