The DiskAlertMe software is great for those of us that always seem to push the envelope when it comes to filling up our hard drive, flash drive, CD drive, or any drive. With DiskAlertMe you can set a threshold for your disk and be notified when the disk passes that threshold. And since DiskAlertMe runs as a Windows Service you don't even need to be logged onto your computer. DiskAlertMe is great for servers that seldom get checked on.

With numerous disk alert options DiskAlertMe is customizable for whatever your need is. You can check a drive when ever you want! Every 15 minutes, every day at 8 AM, once a week; there are endless combinations to choose from! Space alerts can be customized too. Receive an alert when a certain percent of your disk is used or receive an alert when there is only a specific amount of your disk left. Choose a combination of gigabytes, megabytes, kilobytes, and never worry about drive size again!

What do you want DiskAlertMe to notify you about? Perhaps if a disk you've selected has been filled up past a certain percentage you want to be alerted. Or maybe when a disk has only 5 gigabytes left you'll want to be alerted. The choice is yours.

When should DiskAlertMe check your disks? Daily at a specific time or maybe after a specific interval of time? Wait until 2 in the morning to have DiskAlertMe check your disks or check them every 15 minutes. It's up to you and your needs!

Where do you want to be alerted? Maybe you want an email sent to yourself, to someone else, or maybe you want an email sent to multiple email addresses. It all can be done with DiskAlertMe.

DiskAlertMe is made up of two main components; the main DiskAlertMe application, and the DiskAlertMe Service. These two components work together to configure and execute your scheduled disk checks.

The DiskAlertMe application is mainly for configuring DiskAlertMe and is only used when a user wants to change a setting etc. Its user interface lists your system's disks and allows you to assign alerts to the which ever disk or disks you desire.

The DiskAlertMe Service runs in the background as a Windows Service. This Service is where all the magic happens. Based on how you've configured your disks in the DiskAlertMe application the DiskAlertMe Service performs checks and sends notifications appropriately.

Perhaps the best thing about DiskAlertMe using a Windows Service is the fact that you don't have to be logged on or signed into your computer for it to be running. Your computer simply has to be turned on and the DiskAlertMe Service will be running and checking your disks, it's that easy!
