Draw3D Description

Draw3D lets you design your objects in the 3 wireframe views

You can also edit data using the Lists on the right-side of the window. When opening or saving files, a rotating 3D preview is shown of any readable file.

* File Support: Draw3D (.D3D) files (this Draw3D native format stores everything into a very small file)
* 3D Studio (.3DS & .ASC) files (for use with other modellers)
* Text Spreadsheet (.CSV) files (can open in MS Excel as a spreadsheet, or edit yourself)
* Old Draw3D (.3D) files
* Also Exports to: VRML 1.0 (.WRL) files (for interactive web viewing)
* POV-Ray (.POV) files (for stunning ray-tracing)
* Windows Bitmap (.BMP) files (for simple output)
* AutoCAD (.DXF) files (for transfering to other CAD packages)

Object Creation: Can create Polygons, parametric NURBS Curves & Circles, Grids, Cubes, Cylinders, Spheres, Sweeps (Revolutions) and Extrusions. Includes basic support for Parent Objects, for objects containing other objects (NEW).
Parametric Curves (NEW): Can interactively change all curve parameters even after Draw3D has been closed. NURBS weights can be changed easily. Can add extra control points by holding down the 'Control' key & left clicking.
Lists: Displays list views of most items, so that you can view & modify them easily.
Interaction: You can use the Numpad keys (on the right side of your keyboard) to move / rotate / zoom the 3D View or the most recently clicked view. Everything is available from the menu, and the toolbar includes the most common tasks (NEW).
Skins: Can save different skins / configurations to change your color and view preferences.
Undo system: Can undo every operation (even overwriting files!), with unlimited undos for most operations.
Color: Greyscale, 256 Colors, 8-bit, 16-bit, 24-bit or 32-bit color, on any display.
3D Shading: Renders 3D objects in full-color & depth-buffered Wire-frame, Flat-shaded or Gouraud Shaded triangles, with transparencies. All rendering is performed in software, therefore no 3D video hardware is required, yet can render 300,000 triangles on a typical 2004 model laptop (single-core Intel Pentium-M 1.7GHz CPU with 512MB RAM).
