Flexible Automation and Troubleshooting Tool

FLATT (Flexible Automation and Troubleshooting Tool) offers IT departments a more efficient way of doing the tasks they do every day.
It can best be described as a FAQ on steroids: Instead of describing the steps necessary to perform a task FLATT actually PERFORMS these steps.
It is a program that takes what IT professionals are already doing, allows them to do it in a tenth of the time, presents the information as readable graphics/reports, and allows IT departments to better use their time by sharing procedures and methodologies within the company. Currently, many IT staff in the same company are doing redundant work and communication is a struggle. FLATT automates many processes with little to no installation or set up, and can present information in a graphical way that makes it easy to make educated decisions about essential functions relating to multiple servers.

How is it different from what is out there today?

There are solutions available today that automate repetitive IT tasks, but among other things, they have one clear disadvantage when compared to FLATT: They require installation of an “agent” software on each host and a dedicated “master” server to control the agents.When a company has 20 servers, this might not be an issue, but for companies utilizing 200 servers or 1000 servers, the time to install and troubleshoot additional pieces of software ceases being a “time saving device” and becomes just another issue an IT department must address in the course of their day. FLATT is poised to revolutionize the way IT departments work because it allows to create a solution ONCE and reuse it MULTIPLE TIMES as needed, and uses existing secure method to communicate with remote hosts (ssh) . Instead of installing FLATT on EACH server, it only needs to be installed on workstations of the IT staff managing them. It uses the existing steps a sys admin would use to a accomplish a task, but does it in a fraction of the time.
