grape3D Description

grape3D is an open source 3D scanner application

grape3D is an open source 3D scanner application. The software reconstructs a 3D model with corresponding texture from a 2D movie file. The resulting model can be imported in any 3D application like Blender, ZBrush, Maya or 3DS Max. grape3D is GPL licenced.

The green line is the automatically detected line by the software. In this case we have used default settings. Tweaking the settings will improve the results. For this example we have chosen not to do so. The mesh generated is still very noisy. In next releases we will work on automatically optimizating the mesh.
This mesh consists of >400k faces and >200k vertices. It was generated from 893 frames from a scanline area of 100x200px.
