Listary Description

Listary is an excellent enhancement utility for list controls used everywhere

Listary is an excellent find-as-you-type search utility that makes searching items in large unmanageable lists of Windows applications a breeze. Items in Windows Explorer, Task Manager, Registry Editor, Windows Desktop, file Open/Save dialogs and numerous other components and third-party applications can be found instantaneously with this free utility that allows you to type any part of the item name to be searched.

Features

Select items quickly
With the help of Listary you'll be able to select an item from the list by typing the content. Unlike default lists, you can edit your input to fix typos and you don't need to type so quickly.

Autocomplete
Imagine that you have a folder containing some log files all named like "Program Log 01-XX-2010.log" (XX is the date), if you want to select "Program Log 01-05-2010.log", you just need to type four keys: p + Tab (autocomplete) + 0 + 5!

Masks
Listary supports masks like "*" and "?", so you can search in the current list handily. The search result will be shown in real time, much faster than the build in search feature of Windows.

Useful commands
Listary provides some small but useful commands. For example, you can open a command-line window in the current directory while using Windows Explorer or a file dialog by typing "/cmd" and pressing Enter.

Hotkeys
A wealth of shortcut keys makes it more convenient to choose an item from a big list.
