PM Animation Description

PM Animation is a 2D animation software for bitmap images

It provides a simple and innovative way to create a frame based animation. The design of the simple user interface and versatile functions allow users to create an animation in a few mouse clicks. The animation created through PM Animation can be saved as standard animated gif files and as Flash files with sound.

The current release of the PM Animation does not support any script languages such as ActionScript. The animation crated by PM Animation is a sequence of pre generated frames. The advantage of this approach is that multiple image effects can be applied to each frame ahead of time so there will be no processing time during the presentation of an animation at the cost of that more frames will be packed into an animation, therefore the animation tends to have larger size and more loading time during the presentation time.

Here are some of the major features of PM Animation:

* Support the input of images in major standard format including animated gif.
* Support the most features of a standard animation gif format, including loop count, frame delay, off set, background handling and transparency.
* Provide a set of advanced drawing tools for drawing image frames.
* Resize animated gif images without losing the original properties such as offsets and background attributes.
* Crop animated gif images based on any irregular shapes selected.
* Provide a versatile set of image effect filters that can be applied to images frames.
* Effectively transform almost all image effect filters into painting brush.
* Effective use of the widely available animated gif images as stamps for painting frames.
* Support unlimited undo and redo operations for all the frames.
* Support many blending operations for merging frames and for drawing particles.
* Support resize, merge and append animated gif files.
* Effective use of hot keys for frame duplication to create animated drawings.
* Produce the output as standard animated gif and as Flash SWF files with sound.
* Provide sound synchronization and sound continuation with animation
