Le logiciel PREDATOR empêche qu'on utilise votre PC en votre absence.

Le logiciel PREDATOR empêche qu'on utilise votre PC en votre absence si vous avez laissé votre session ouverte. Il utilise pour cela une clé USB ordinaire, sur laquelle il écrit des codes de sécurité. Quand la clé est insérée votre PC fonctionne normalement. Quand vous la retirez, votre PC est bloqué.

PREDATOR offre aussi des fonctionnalités de sécurité avancées:

* PREDATOR enregistre tous les événements relatifs à son fonctionnement dans un fichier journal: démarrage, alertes, arrêt. En consultant ce journal, vous saurez si des intrus ont essayé d'utiliser votre ordinateur en votre absence.
* PREDATOR change fréquemment les codes de sécurité inscrits sur votre clé USB. Si un intrus parvient à copier votre clé, cette copie ne fonctionnera pas parce que les codes de votre clé auront changé entre temps.
* PREDATOR désactive le gestionnaire de tâches de Windows quand vous retirez la clé USB. Personne ne peut donc l'arrêter avec le raccourci Ctrl-Alt-Del.
* PREDATOR vous permet de reprendre le contrôle de votre ordinateur en cas de perte de votre clé: lors du premier démarrage du logiciel, vous définissez un mot de passe qui servira à débloquer votre session si vous avez perdu votre clé.
* PREDATOR peut émettre une alarme sonore dissuasive en cas de saisie d'un mot de passe erroné.
* Et enfin, PREDATOR vous permet de protéger plusieurs PC avec la même clé.
