What can Reminder Xpert do for you? With Reminder Xpert you can quickly and easily add one-time or recurring events using a simple wizard, then receive notifications when there are current events that you should know about. A unique "Current Events" window lists today's events as well as upcoming events that you have configured to give you advanced notice. Create independent alarms when you need to be reminded at a certain time. Available alarm actions include popping up a window, running a program, or shutting down the computer.
With Reminder Xpert you no longer have to worry about forgetting those important events. The possible uses are endless, but here are a few examples:
* Never forget special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries.
* Never forget a doctor or dentist appointment.
* Don't forget to pay your bills on time.
* Don't forget that new TV show coming up.
* Be reminded when it's time to change the furnace filter or smoke detector batteries.
* Be reminded when your car needs an oil change.
* Receive an alarm when it's time to take your medication.
When an event is triggered, most reminder programs will pop-up an annoying window right in the middle of your screen. This can happen at the most inconvenient time, and the window is usually an "on-top" window that demands your immediate attention. For most events such as birthdays or holidays, this brute-force method is not necessary.
Reminder Xpert is different because it has independent events and alarms. While an alarm can display a window at a certain time if you want, events do not do this. Instead, Reminder Xpert can gently remind you with a balloon tooltip over the system tray if there are current events you have not yet viewed today. This tooltip will not take the focus from whatever you may be working on. Simply click on the balloon to display the Current Events window. If you prefer, you can configure Reminder Xpert to flash the tray icon instead of showing a balloon tooltip, or have it pop-up the Current Events window directly.
Reminder Xpert includes an attractive color-coded calendar that you can pop up with a click of the tray icon. Days with events are shown in a different color. Simply move the cursor over a date to see the events for that day in a tooltip.
Reminder Xpert also has some useful tools including a countdown timer, stop watch, and date calculator. As an added convenience, Reminder Xpert allows you to easily turn off your monitor or shut down your computer with a hot key.
There are of course many other reminder programs to choose from, so go ahead and try a few. In the end, we think you will prefer Reminder Xpert's functionality and elegant user-friendly interface. It's also priced lower than most other reminder software. |
