Manage your collection & metadata

Snaps is a photo & video management application that makes it easy to manage your collection & metadata. Snaps provides an integrated map to visualize the geotagging view of the collection.

Features:

* Organize pictures by the date a photo was taken
* Organize pictures by descriptive tags you can add to a group of pictures. Tags are the easy & perfect way to group a list of pictures like an album
* Organize pictures based on geo information and present them in a map view
* Visualize your pictures in three different views: Thumbnail, Thumbnail with file name and Tiles (Thumbnail & additional metadata) view
* Group the pictures by date, month, year and rating in ascending or descending order
* Sort the pictures by date taken, date modified, image size, rating, file name
* Filter the pictures by level of rating, geotagged and not geotagged
* Provides a table of content view for a quick overview based on the grouping criteria

Geotagging

Visualzing geotag information has never been easier and powerful. Browse your pictures using built-in Google, Bing or Yahoo map.

* Provides a powerful & easy way to remember the places you took pictures
* Uses the GPS/GEO information from your GPS enabled camera or a GPS logger
* Zoom & pan the map to browse your pictures
* Preview the pictures at a location by clicking the pin on the map and expand to a larger view to see the details
* Provides reverse geocoding lookup to convert GPS information into city, state, country
* Browse the pictures by city, state, country from the navigation bar

Find Photos

With the integrated search,you can easily find the photos you are looking for.

* Search photos by file name, caption and tags
* Search photos by location information such as city, state and country
* In map view, search displays the map for the search criteria such as city, state, country or a place of interest

Edit Information

It is easy to add metadata such as caption, descriptive tags and geo information.

* Photo meta data is displayed in the right side information pane
* Photo taken date, rating, caption can be modified
* One or more descriptive tags can be added
* Supports nested/hierarchical tags. Each level should be delimitted by '/' character
* Add or modify the geo information by dragging the marker on the map

Share Pictures

* Upload pictures directly from Snaps to Facebook and Flickr.(Picasa coming soon)
* Upload pictures to your ZenPhoto (http://www.zenphoto.org/) gallery. Download the server code here.
* Provides an upload overlay indicator on the thumbnails to identify published pictures
* Uploaded/Published location is displayed on the right side information bar
