Souptoys Description

Fun toys for the whole family, running on your computer desktop

Souptoys is a collection of more than 100 different toys for your Windows desktop and the latest version is completely free. As an extra bonus, it also includes a brand new toy xylophone.

Designed with players aged 5 to 12 in mind, but enjoyed globally by everyone, this physics sandbox game replicates a child’s wooden toy box full of toys, including basketballs, robots, wooden blocks, snowmen, cannons, flying bees and a pirate ship. With its open-ended design, the possibilities are endless and players are limited only by their imagination.

Players can also visit Souptoys.com, where they can share their own creations with others and download over 20,000 more. This growing community known as SoupWorld is a fun and secure place for kids to share and discuss their toys and ideas with other fans.

With an intuitive and tactile feel, the easy to pick up and play style will allow kids to be enjoying themselves within seconds. Souptoys is also perfect for busy parents who want to play together with children who are too young to use a mouse but are delighted to see a stuntman flying through a basketball hoop.

Souptoys requires you to be running in at least 16-bit color. The toys may not display properly on your desktop if you are running in 256 Colors. If you are running in 256 Colors, you should switch to 16-bit color or better.

Multiple Screens

The Souptoys Toybox looks great in a multiple screen environment and when doing so the Toybox will use your primary screen to operate on. At present there are some limitations to how the toys work on multiple screens especially when they are side by side, but a setup we have found fun to use is having the secondary monitor displayed on top of the primary.

The Souptoys Toybox requires:

* Windows 2000, Windows XP or Vista. At present it will not work on Mac OS/X, but we hope to support it in the near future.
* IBM PC or 100% compatible computer
* Pentium III 600 MHz or better processor
* At least 128 megabytes of RAM.
* Sound: you must have a sound card installed in order to hear the toys.
* Video: your desktop resolution should be set to 16-bit or 32-bit color mode (256 Colors will display the toys incorrectly).
* Controls: a keyboard and a 100% Microsoft compatible mouse are required. A mouse wheel is supported but not required.
