Space Trajectory Analysis Description

A research tool to support the analysis phase of a space mission

The “Space Trajectory Analysis” or STA software suite is conceived as a research tool to support the analysis phase of a space mission having the ability to analyze, determine, simulate, and visualize a wide range of space trajectories.

One of the STA aims is to promote the exchange of technical ideas, and raise knowledge and competence in the areas of applied mathematics, space engineering, and informatics

Conceived as a research tool to support the analysis phase of a space mission, STA is able to visualize a wide range of space trajectories.

STA implements the concept of “space scenario” composed of Solar system bodies, spacecraft, ground stations, pads, etc. It is able to propagate the orbit of a spacecraft where orbital propagators are included.

STA development is based on open source, state of the art, astrodynamics routines.

The STA project allows a strong link among these disciplines by reinforcing the academic community with requirements and needs coming from space agencies and industry real needs and missions.
