A Controlled Pattern File Release (CPR) is a manually loadable, pre-release version of a Trend Micro virus protection database, designed to provide users with additional antivirus protection in between official pattern file releases.

Customers running products that support Trend Micro's new pattern file format (the multi-digit format) may obtain deployment instructions for the latest Controlled Pattern Release by clicking the link below.

Important Note: Customers using Trend Micro products that still use the old 3-digit pattern files must contact Trend Micro directly to obtain the latest Controlled Pattern Release in the 3-digit pattern file format. The CPR available through the below link cannot be downloaded or deployed by Trend Micro products that do not support the new, multi-digit pattern file format.
