WorkPause Description

WorkPause can help you prevent RSI or eye strain by taking regular breaks

If you work too much with computers, you are at risk.
The WorkPause utility can help you prevent the tiredness, back pain, eye strain, repetitive strain injury (RSI) or other illnesses provoked by long uninterrupted work with computers, by reminding you to take breaks at regular intervals. WorkPause can be discrete and unobtrusive if necessary, notifying you with just a simple tool tip, or it can be set to lock the entire screen for the duration of the break. It is simple to use, easily configurable, and will not slow down your computer.

What Is WorkPause, And How Can It Help?

WorkPause is a break reminder - a software program to remind you, when necessary, to break your work and have some rest. It has been proven that the regular rest breaks reduce the risk of developing RSI, or other computer-related diseases, and help to avoid eyestrain.

In a few words, WorkPause works like this:

* You can specify how much time you'd like to work between the breaks, when to have short or long breaks etc.
* While you work, WorkPause sits in the system tray and shows the time left until the next pause. It can monitor the intensity of your work and adjust the timing accordingly.
* When it's time for a rest break, WorkPause will let you know; it can use sound with a small message, or black out the screen to make sure you really stop working.
* Of course, if you don't like to break right now, you can postpone or disable the alarms.
